Shipping Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2022
This Shipping Policy outlines how Bhoomi Pottery (Astoria General Trading LLC) handles order dispatch, delivery, fees, and responsibilities.
Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to:
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- All GCC countries (including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar)
We do not deliver to PO Boxes. Only physical addresses are accepted.
We do deliver to free zones currently.
We reserve the right to introduce location-based restrictions in the future.
Dispatch Times
- Orders for in-stock items are dispatched within 5–7 business days.
- Dispatches are made Monday to Friday, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
- If an item is out of stock, we will contact you to confirm an estimated dispatch date.
- Delivery timelines are not guaranteed and may vary based on courier performance, customs clearance, or force majeure events.
UAE Shipping
- Orders above AED 999 (excluding VAT): Free shipping
- Orders below AED 999: Flat rate of AED 99
- Shipping fees are displayed at checkout, and VAT is calculated separately
GCC Shipping
- No free shipping offered for GCC orders
- Rates are weight-based and location-based, calculated automatically at checkout
- Shipping costs do not include customs duties and local taxes
Customs & Duties for GCC
For all shipments outside the UAE:
- The customer is responsible for all applicable customs duties and local taxes
- These are not included in the shipping fee shown at checkout
- Bhoomi Pottery is not responsible for customs delays or clearance procedures
Shipping Liability, Insurance & Damage
- Bhoomi Pottery is not liable for any delays, damage, or loss after the order has been handed to the courier.
- Customers may purchase courier insurance at an additional cost during checkout.
- If insurance is selected and the shipment is lost or damaged, Bhoomi Pottery will file a claim with the courier.
- The final outcome and compensation depend entirely on the courier’s claim process.
- If no insurance is selected and loss/damage occurs, Bhoomi Pottery assumes no further responsibility.
Damage Inspection Policy
To be eligible for any damage-related claim:
- The customer must inspect the shipment at the time of delivery.
- Any visible damage must be clearly noted on the courier’s delivery paperwork before signing and returning.
- The customer must also:
- Take photos of the damaged product and packaging
- Email or WhatsApp us the photos and courier paperwork on the same day
No claim will be accepted if damage is not documented on the courier’s delivery paperwork and notified to us at the time of delivery.
